A fun packed educational experience is what awaits JAIS summer campers. Children will explore different authors and writing styles in both fiction and nonfiction books through a variety of activities that include art, literature, baking, and sports. Authors include Julia Donaldson and her books Stick Man, Gruffalo, and Gruffalo’s Child, Eric Carle and the books The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Mixed up Chameleon. Campers will also explore stories such as The Three Little Pigs and Peter Pan.

Each week will include free play time in our large game room, swimming, baking, arts and crafts, games, story-time, and more. In the morning, children will go outside for engaging sports and plenty of fresh air. Our Mat Room is used for Zumba and dance classes and is a great indoor, air conditioned space, where campers can run around in comfort on those extra hot afternoons.

New for the summer of 2018:  Maker Space!  Maker Space is a room filled with crafts and electronics that can be taken apart for their parts, and used to create whatever your child’s imagination can think up. Supplies include a wide range of items from old computers to batteries and LED lights for making simple machines.

Three times per week, the staff and campers go swimming. All our staff are in the water during swimming, ensuring that campers are safe and having a good time. Older campers, who pass the swim test, can enjoy the large deep pool while younger campers play in the spacious, shallow pool, which is between .5 and .8 meters deep.

Campers will also have water fun during our Water Sports Days on the grass.
