JAIS Summer Camp is accepting applications for employment positions for the summer of 2017.
Staff members must be able to commit to working the entire summer:
June 27 and 28th for orientation and staff training days. Camp from July 2nd – July 28th (Sunday – Friday). If a staff member has finals or bagrut exams, they must inform the director ahead of time and will only be allowed a maximum of 2 days off.
All Candidates must:
- Speak fluent English
- Be an Israeli citizen or have a work permit allowing you to work in Israel
- Be Responsible
- Be Upbeat
- Be able to think on their feet
- Be able to follow directions
- Be motivated to have fun!
CIT – Counselor In Training Positions
The Counselor in Training Program is for students who have completed 7th grade and are interested in working with children. Every CIT will be assigned a counselor who will mentor and assist him/her in learning the skills needed to be a counselor. CIT is a volunteer position, in which teens are being taught the skills to become JC in the future.
Junior Counselors are teenagers 14 to 18 years of age who have already been CITs and/or have experience working with children of different age groups. A Junior Counselor must be able to obtain a work permit and will be paid a basic salary.
Counselors are over 18 and have completed high school. A counselor has experience working with children and exemplifies all the qualifications listed above. Salaries are based on age and experience.
